Nathan Heironimus

With over 20 years in the music industry, Nathan Heironimus offers a rare combination of technical expertise, leadership, and creative insight to RBDG’s projects. As Associate Design Consultant and Team Operations Lead, Nathan keeps the team organized while actively contributing to the creative process.

Nathan’s career began at Sweetwater Sound, where he spent 17 years as a sales engineer, audio engineer, and later, leader of a national university partnership program. His work has ranged from engineering sessions for artists like Needtobreathe, Jonatha Brooke, and Chick Corea, to facilitating workshops with industry legends Chris Lord-Alge and Ross Hogarth.

A natural educator, Nathan has taught at Purdue University Fort Wayne, led masterclasses, and spoken at events including GearFest, SXSW, and Folk Alliance International. His philosophy—empowerment, clarity, and craftsmanship—guides his work, ensuring every project exceeds expectations and every team member grows in skill and confidence.

Nathan’s deep connection to RBDG began years before joining the firm, having worked extensively in RBDG-designed spaces. Today, he leverages his end-user insight to design acoustical environments that inspire creativity and deliver technical excellence.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys mountain biking, woodworking, camping, and time with his wife Michelle and their four children. Despite decades of critical listening, an audiologist once told him he has “the hearing of an eight-year-old boy”—a fitting testament to his lifelong dedication to sound.
