As President of Russ Berger Design Group, Mark Hornsby blends executive leadership, creative vision, and technical mastery to deliver the firm’s acclaimed acoustical and architectural design projects. A respected executive, producer, and lecturer, Mark draws on decades of experience in music production and engineering to lead with both precision and inspiration.
At RBDG, Mark acts as a creative and organizational catalyst, partnering with clients, architects, and engineers to transform concepts into high-performance, aesthetically compelling spaces. His ability to translate artistic vision into technical reality ensures the seamless, acoustically exceptional environments for which RBDG is known.
Beyond his leadership and consulting work, Mark is an accomplished music producer and audio engineer, with over 1,000 recording projects to his name. His diverse credits span multiple genres and iconic artists—from gospel pioneer Russ Taff and jazz legend Al Di Meola, to hard rock icons Anthrax and R&B legends Tower of Power. Mark has earned a reputation for bridging artistic vision with engineering expertise, consistently delivering productions that are both emotionally compelling and technically exceptional.
His career has brought him to some of the most iconic recording spaces in the world, including Abbey Road, Sunset Sound, Royal Albert Hall, The Village, RCA Studios, Criteria, EastWest, Royal Studios, the Ryman Auditorium, and many RBDG designed venues.
When not leading projects or producing music, Mark enjoys traveling the country with his wife Jaime in their Airstream, exploring cities, small towns, and local cultures—always in search of great coffee, conversation, and inspiration.
