Vermont Public Radio
When Vermont Public Radio relocated their primary station to a building at Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester that was previously the veterinary clinic for the fort’s 1800 horses, they turned to RBDG to design the technical spaces. Since that time, broadcasts have originated from those facilities, and the performance studio has seen a diverse array of artists and radio guests.
Twenty years later, when VPR undertook a major expansion and renovation, they again teamed with RBDG for acoustical design. The new portion of the net-zero building includes a performance studio with seating for a 100-person audience, a control room that can be viewed from the lobby, additional editing suites, and a greatly expanded newsroom.
