University of the Incarnate Word
The new music building on the campus of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio boasts a recording studio for its Music Industry Studies program designed by Russ Berger Design Group (RBDG). The control room, which accommodates a class of 12 students, can record from the live room and two isolation booths, or from the facility’s concert hall, recital hall, and large ensemble rehearsal rooms. The recording gear is designed around a Solid State Logic AWS 924 board, Rupert Neve Designs mixer, and Avid C|24 control surface for ProTools, along with an MCI JH-24 with an Endless Analog CLASP, Focal monitors, and a Focusrite RedNet audio distribution system. This concert hall is equipped with an electronic architecture system that allows the acoustics of the space to be optimized for each event.
