City of Allen

Through its community broadcast channel, the City of Allen delivers comprehensive municipal programming to residents and stakeholders, offering access to essential City Council information and other important local content. Recognizing the city’s rapid growth as one of the fastest developing areas in Texas, city leaders determined that an expansion of the broadcast studio was necessary to better serve the community’s needs.

The expansion project included enlarging the studio space and upgrading it with advanced acoustics, specialized interior finishes, and architectural lighting. Numerous system details and finishes were also added to enhance the overall functionality and visual appeal of the facility.

RBDG was engaged to provide acoustical consulting and design services not only for the main studio, but also for the edit suites, council conference room, and additional support spaces. As a result, the city constructed a state-of-the-art studio within the Municipal Courts Building, transformed the previous studio into dedicated editing and broadcast operations areas, and equipped both spaces with the latest production technology. These improvements ensure that city communications and community media are delivered more effectively to the public.
