Who dealt this mess anyway?
( It's an old card players phrase.)

First and foremost it's David Strikes fault . . . for the history of the cards see the message he sent the members of the Scuba-l email list.

Second on the blame list is Christian Gerzner who scanned these fragile historical artifacts.
I have never seen the originals but those who have say he captured the colors brilliantly. I do know that the quality of the images is as good as I have ever received from a client.

Lastly, me but all I did was give them some simple pages and the on-line storage space, if anyone has any problems viewing the images or working the slide show please let me know.

When viewing the following pages keep in mind that to get a truly sharp image with accurate colors it was decided to use GIF files rather then the more compressible JPG format. The time it takes to down load the pages is well worth it.

We also decided not to do thumbnails that you could have used to select which of the full size image to view. Believe me you will want to see them all.
